Princess Margaret married Anthony Armstrong–Jones, in Westminster Abbey, on Friday 6 May 1960. He was subsequently created Lord Snowdon. They had two children: their son David became the 2nd Earl of Snowdon on his father's death, and their daughter has been known as Lady Sarah Chatto since 1994, when she married the artist and former actor Daniel Chatto.
Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon separated in the year 2000. She died two years later, and he died in 2017.
